Beacon of Hope - Oil on Canvas

Artworks

Yu Han Xi was born in 1976 in Hunan. He had greatly impressed with his superior technical skills that surpassed even artists of an earlier generation. Stunning in their compositions and sometimes with a slight surrealistic element, his paintings of Tibetans are often large in scale, perfectly rendered with unbelievably realistic details and an amazing photographic quality. Not only are we immediately drawn into the mystical world of the Tibetan highlands and its people through Yu’s work, we can also appreciate the different textures depicted and marvel at the mysterious identity and at times, meditative expression of the subject portrayed.

Yu Hanxi’s works are full of religious colors and unique characters. In particular, his grasp of light and shadow makes the picture bloom with gorgeous brilliance and adds a sense of mystery to the picture. The devotion and kindness of the elders, the innocence and daze of the young, the persistence and hope of the young…The works show the painter’s profound oil painting skills and humanistic temperament from the composition, color, character shape and inner spiritual temperament, and also show the pulse of the painter’s life and his artistic concept.
